Our company has tripled in size in the last five years. To support the growth in our transformation, we now have a Customer Account Specialist position available in our Kaukauna, WI location.

About the Opportunity.

Ahlstrom’s paper manufacturing business is currently looking for an individual who wants a challenging opportunity to influence the future of our business by successfully growing and maintaining profitable sales. The Customer Account Specialist – Protective Materials will manage a diverse base of accounts, gaining great exposure to a wide variety of industries and product lines. In addition to account management, this individual will also provide actionable insights and support to the sales and marketing team to help drive strategy and sales through analytics, custom reporting and forecasting assistance. The role of the Customer Account Specialist provides the training and foundation for eventually becoming an external field sales or Account Manager, while also providing exposure to the marketing side of the business. This individual should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and have an appetite and passion for helping achieve the Protective Materials BU growth and business strategy!

Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Full responsibility for a wide variety of accounts.
  • Lead all aspects of customer relationships (customer set up, pricing, quotes, A/R, inventory management, claims/complaint and CAR responses, forecasting, etc.).
  • Develop a clear understanding of products features/benefits, value propositions and business capabilities.
  • Utilize, update and maintain customer information in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Assist in the preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly customer and product line sales reporting and analytics.
  • Work with Marketing and Product Management team members to complete research on new product markets and assist in completing competitive analysis projects as needed.
  • Identifies and implements areas for process improvements.

Minimum Occupational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • Previous business experience, preferred
  • Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability
  • Ability to effectively handle pressure situations to meet customer demands
  • Leadership potential, highly preferred
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics desired.
  • Aptitude to learn other software programs
  • Ability to work both individually as well as part of a team
  • Good analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and adapt quickly in a changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and follow-up skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook required. Strong desire for enhanced/advanced Excel skills.
